Description
Tesamorelin is an analogue of growth hormone–releasing hormone (GHRH) that is used clinically to treat HIV-associated lipodystrophy. (In lipodystrophy, fat accumulates excessively in the abdomen as well as in other areas of the body.) It is also being studied for its potential to improve peripheral nerve health, slow the progression of mild cognitive impairment/dementia, and reduce fat mass.
